Who we are?

Jo Jo's School of Dance & Performing Arts started 2004 when principal Jo Robinson FIDTA fulfilled her life long ambition & opened its doors.

Principal Jo Robinson F.I.D.T.A opened Jo Jo’s School of Dance and Performing Arts in 2004, fulfilling her life long ambition to run her own dance and performing arts school.

Jo’s passion with dance and performing arts has been a huge part of her life since a very early age. At 16 Jo was awarded a 3 year scholarship to attend the Italia Conti School of Performing Arts in London, during her time in London she gained her ISTD teaching qualifications and Performing Arts Diploma. Her professional dance career then took off taking her dancing all around the world. Jo is now qualified Fellowship with the IDTA and is, looking forward to the future becoming an examiner.

Now based at Buckingham Studios, Margate Jo is bringing her dance experience to eager students from around the South East region. Offering a relaxed, friendly family feel to the school, encouraging the best out of each child, to gain more confidence in themselves and to achieve their goals along the way. If your child shows promise and would like to, there are plenty of opportunities for them to fulfil their ambitions by taking exams and competing in local dance competitions.

Biannually we host a show, allowing the students the opportunity to “show off” their skills and providing them with the experience of performing on stage to an audience.
